Adorable baby Liam was just ten days old when I went to visit him. It’s always a treat when I get invited into a clients home for a new arrival photo session. From the moment I stepped inside, I could see and feel the love and joy Liam has brought to his family. Our photo shoot consisted of Mommy, Daddy, both sets of grandparents, and their furry child, Hercules. Every member of the family couldn’t get enough of the new arrival. Apparently Liam’s grandparents flew hundreds of miles to simple snuggle him and love on his sweetness. Based on these pictures, we can all see why.
Over the years, I’ve learned that it’s nearly impossible to estimate the length of a newborn photography session. Good thing for me, Liam was in no hurry – I was perfectly ok with that. Being a mother of 4 myself, I get it. Babies become hungry in a hurry, then they need their diaper changed, and next thing you know they’re asleep. Press repeat a few times and you’re experiencing the life of a stay at home parent!
As a parent, I understand that babies have high demands – and Liam was no exception. At the same time, I was very impressed with his ability to hold his head up like a champ. He was probably the strongest ten-day-old I’ve been privileged to meet! When Liam finally felt comfortable enough to show me his photogenic side, I was able to get some seriously sweet pictures. I had a great time getting to know this bunch.
Through love and patience anything is possible. Being a part of this portion of a family’s lives is special to me. Together, we were all able to pull off a another successful and memorable new arrival photo session. I hope you enjoy these images as much as I do.
